Spurs arrive at the Walkers Stadium with an excelent FA Cup record, especially against City. However you have to go as far back as 1981 for the last clash between the two sides. On that occassion, an FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park, Spurs ran out 2-0 winners with Ian Wilson scoring at the wrong end! I will never forget Sir Gary's one on one with Ray Clemence in that game with the scores level, what might have been eh ?
Sunday gives us a chance in front of the television camera's to avenge that defeat, it wont be easy though, Spurs are in a rich vein of form and Jol is building a very promising squad at White Hart Lane. They play good open football which at times is very exciting. City on the other hand can play good entertaining football but sadly fire blanks.
Its hard to see City getting anything from this match however it is the FA Cup, were shocks abound on third round day. What a time this would be to show the watching millions that we can we score!
