"We kept going and I think that we deserved something out of the game," Adams told Sky Sports after the game.
"I don't think that it was one of our better performances but that is five games undefeated now. While you are putting points on the board you have got a chance. We keep doing that.
"When you consider that Wolves have lost we have to look at it as point gained. If you would have said last week that we will go to Birmingham and get a point and then beat Everton everyone would have been delighted.
"We huffed and puffed for long periods of the game on the day. Sometimes playing a team that has had a man sent off doesn't help you.
"But fair credit to Everton. They left two men up front because they obviously thought that we were vulnerable.
"We kept going, but it just wasn't our day in the last third of the pitch, and that is the key in the Premier League.
"We were very much in the game during the first half. We had a goal disallowed and looking at the video I think that we were harshly done by. But I am bound to say that and David Moyes will have his own opinion."
