While Rob Kelly will take over team matters for Saturdays visit of Southampton in the FA Cup the press has been full of names for the vacant managers position at the club.
Former City man Gary McAllister had been the bookies favourite but it now appears he has ruled himself out of the race. City great Neil Lennon had also been in the frame but his agent has since said that Neil is happy at Celtic and is unlikely to be going anywhere just yet.
Today has seen two more names linked with the job, firstly Gudjon Thordarson the current Notts County boss who has taken the team to the brink of the play-offs this season. Secondly Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has been put in the frame by some media sources. Cotterill spent time at Leicester City under ex boss Adams.
There will likely be more speculation over the weekend and in the Sunday papers but City are unlikely to appoint anyone until next week at the earliest.
