City prepare for Blackpool contest

There has been much debating between City fans after the 0-0 shut out on Saturday with Wolves. Levein's tactics have never been under more scrutiny than they are now. Whilst it is understandable in a way to go to Wolves, a side tipped for promotion and play for the draw, the flipside is the fans who paid good money to watch a football match and were in fact treated to see the team coach parked in front of the goal.

Levein has sinced defended his tactics and has not issued any kind of appology to the travelling fans, many of whom have since expressed their concerns at the level of entertainment on display.

With the arrival of lower league opposition this evening it is a great chance for Levein to show the fans that we are prepared to still take games to the opposition. Any form of a shut out attempt this evening could be disastrous. City go into the game with many injuries so this opens the door for the fringe players.

After the Wolves display debacle and with the matches coming thick and fast don't expect to see a high turnout at the Walkers Stadium this evening. It is unlikely the attendance will get above 10,000. Its upto the team and Levein to show the fans what they will be missing. It is a potential banana skin but also a chance to go out there and play some good football and reap the reward of a big name clash in the third round.

Mind you it could be a case of get an early goal and shut up shop, we sincerely hope we are wrong!
