Milan Mandaric has shown his dissapointment at the failure to bring the star to the Walkers: 'Unfortunately we were unable to come o an agreement with Edgar and his representatives. We have decided not to take this matter further and wish Edgar luck in his future career.'
Meanwhile, on loan Martyn Waghorn has expressed his desire to extend his contract beyond January and the club are expected to talk the striker's club, Sunderland in due course.
