The game was fast paced with chances for either side. Unfortunately, the best chance of the afternoon came to Elvis Hammond who could only strike the ball at the advancing keeper who was able to parry the ball away from danger.
Hammond was sent through on goal from an Iain Hume diagonal pass which sliced the Cardiff defence in half. The striker controlled the ball excellently but was unable to steer City towards a first half lead.
Talking after the game, manager Rob Kelly said: "We are dissapointed to just get a point out of the game. But we take a number of positives out of the match - it's our second cleen sheet and we didn't get beat.
We needed to score in the little spell that we had before half time, but their goalkeeper made some good saves. We needed to create a little bit more."
The result leaves the Foxes unbeaten in three games and lying in 17th position in the Championship table.
