Carlisle did Leicester a favour on the weekend by beating MK Dons and Nigel Pearson's side capitalised with a 2 - 0 win at Huish Park.
A goalless first half made way to a 2nd period in which Leicester scored twice. Steve Howard scored the first goal, his shot taking a deflection on the way in. Howard was set up nicely by Mark Davies after a controversial corner was awarded in Leicester's favour.
The win was wrapped up by Joe Mattock who cooly finished into the same corner as Howard with a few minutes remaining.
The Foxes remain on course for an immediate return to the Championship with a 10 point gap over third place.
Next up Leicester face Huddersfield at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday.
