“ I am very hopeful that we will be able to complete a deal," Adams told the clubs official website.
“Everything has been agreed with the player who is actually with us at the moment for pre-season training, and there are just a few loose ends to tie up with Chievo.
“I wanted to sign him a year ago from Bastia but we didn’t have the money to do so at the time and he went to Italy instead and joined Chievo.
“He is a six footer who has a good engine, can get about midfield and is good in both penalty areas. I am optimistic that everything will be completed in the next few days.”
