Howard Set To Start At Cardiff

The target man was suspended for Sunday's home leg against Cardiff but looks set to return to the first 11 for tomorrow's crucial Play-Off decider.

Martyn Waghorn started as a lone striker on Sunday. But, with Cardiff making their physical presence known at the back, the youngster failed to make an impact and was substituted midway through the second half.

With Howard available on Wednesday, the Foxes will be hoping that his ability to hold the ball up will have a telling influence on the outcome of the match.

Assistant manager, Craig Shakespeare said: 'Steve Howard will have a very crucial part to play. He was coming back into form before his red card and I have to say that, in training, he has been on fire.

'His effort, commitment and everything about him has been really good. Hopefully, if we start him, he will be on top of his game.' He added.

The Foxes face a mamouth task after falling victim to a single Peter Whittingham goal at the Walkers Stadium on Sunday. After all, in their two previous visits to Cardiff this season they have lost 2-1 in the Championship and 4-2 in the FA Cup.

However, nothing is impossible and if the Foxes approach the match with confidence, chances will come. And, should Howard start, he will be hoping to lead the team to Wembley.
