Izzet Close To Brum Switch

Reports in the Birmingham press suggested today that the deal had been finalised but the clubs official website say that is not the case but they are hopeful of making some kind of announcement on Tuesday.

Izzet will leave the Walkers Stadium on a free transfer after almost nine years at the club.

Birmingham are also said to be close to signing former Foxes striker Emile Heskey for around £3.5m from Liverpool.
