Patrick Kisnorbo hopes to live out his life long ambition of playing in the World Cup this summer.
The Leicester Defender hasn't featured in the Australian set-up for nearly two years since his appearance against the Solomon Islands in June 2004. But, Kisnorbo still believes he has a chance of being selected for the trip to Germany, where his national side will face tough competiton including a match against the tournament favourites, Brazil.
When talking to Australian newspaper, the Herald Sun about his chances of a World Cup call up, Kisnorbo said:
'I want to go to Germany, I want to be in the squad... I want to play... I don't know if I am in Hiddinks (Australian Coach) plans or not. All I've done is have a good season. I can't do anymore.'
Kisnorbo believes that he may be paying the price for turning down a chance of featuring in the International team earlier in the season. Kisnorbo was offered a place in the Australian line-up to face Bahrain but was forced to decline the offer due to his commitments at Leicester.
Kisnorbo will find out on Monday if he has a place on the Aussie's plane heading to Germany this summer.
