Former England boss Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "I have spoken to the players about it - we are the most silent team I have ever managed.
"We don't talk at all out there - especially when you are defending you have to talk."
Leicester have conceded eight goals in their last three away games and Eriksson knows exactly where the blame lies.
"Some of the goals we have conceded away from home has been down to a lack of that [communication]," he added.
The Foxes travel to Hull City on New Year's Day, before hosting Swansea two days later.
