“People get a little bit jumpy and anxious because they expect things to happen right away. What I am fighting against here is people seeing Leicester City as a big club.
“People don't take into account that we are starting again, back to the early-90s, say, and we're not in the market to sign players on tens of thousands of pounds a week, as we are building from the ground up.
“Of course, we would love to be better off but there are a lot of people more concerned than I am. Those within the club know where we are going.
“We are not a club anyone is going to take lightly. We are still perceived as the club who were in the Premiership all those years, winning cups and getting into Europe, but we are not the same club just now.
“We are going through a transitional period, that is just a fact, and I am not saying we couldn't go on a run of half-a-dozen games picking up full points, that is possible.
“But I am encouraged from what I see from the good football and hard work the players are producing.” Levein told the website.
