Armed with some money Craig will begin his search for the much needed firepower to pull City away from the drop zone and the prospect of League One football.
Although we felt that this is the wrong decision, it has been made and now is the time to get behind the team and any new signings the club makes during the hectic January transfer window. There has now been much speculation as to the names of the strikers on Craigs hitlist. One that keeps cropping up is Robbie Fowler, a proven goalscorer but not exactly in form at the moment.
There have been many other names thrown into the pot but Craig will need to act to fast, the best strikers will soon be snapped up by clubs desperate to add goals to their campaign.
There is also talk of a loan signing, possibly in midfield, a right sided player would be a great addition to the squad as Sylla prepares for the African Nations Cup and will be away for upto 4 weeks.
Whatever players Craig brings in it is clear it is make or break time for the under pressure boss who has failed to win a game in December. The much anticipated live clash with Spurs on Sunday will give the players a chance to play with the pressure cooker turned down but straight after this game comes the Sheffield Wednesday clash when all eyes will again be on the City manager.
