Mandaric had created a shortlist of five names including Neil Warnock and Nigel Worthington for the current managers role at the club.
And, after weeks of speculation involving the likes of Chris Coleman and Stuart Pearce, it seems that Mandaric has opted for Martin Allen of the MK Dons to take the Foxes forward.
Allen impressed the City chairman when he guided a weak MK Dons side into the League Two Play-Offs this season. And, although Allen may not appear to be the big name fans were hoping for, Mandaric has stated that he is the man to take the club into a new successful era and has spoken about 'long term' plans with Allen, formerly of Brentford.
Although nothing has been confirmed up until this point, it has been speculated that Martin Allen will be unveiled as the new Leicester City manager on Saturday.
