Megson 's Frustration

The new boss, who was given the manager's job on Thursday has revealed his frustrations after an unlikely 83rd minute equaliser from Leigertwood denied Megson a winning start at the Walkers Stadium.

Iain Hume had earlier given the Foxes a single goal lead from the spot after DJ Campbell was knocked off the ball in the Rangers penalty area.

City continued to dominate the game and were unlucky not to extend their lead when Carl Cort had a goal ruled out due to offside. Cort connected with a
cross into the box but the linesmans flag put an end to his goal celebrations.

Megson has already recieved criticism for his controversal substitutions, particularly replacing DJ Campbell, Leicester's main threat, in the second half and adopting a defensive stance, provoking the visitors to push for the equaliser.

And, inevitably, Megson's men were unable to hold out for three points. Leigertwood recieved the ball 30 yards from goal, had time to look up and pick his spot before blasting the ball away from Fulop into the top corner of the net.

The Foxes faithful will now be hoping for an improved performance, and more importantly a stronger mentality when they travel to The City Ground on Tuesday for the rescheduled Carling Cup clash with fierce rivals Nottingham Forest.
