Newcastle vs Leicester: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Newcastle host Leicester on Sunday afternoon, as both sides look for second consecutive Premier League wins.

Eddie Howe's team had experienced a real dip in form with three successive defeats after a run of six wins and a draw, although bounced back last time out to earn a 1-0 victory over Wolves to follow up a 5-1 mauling by Tottenham.

Now with a healthy gap of ten points between themselves and the relegation zone, the Magpies host a Leicester side, themselves on a high.

Unbeaten in five outings across all competitions, the Foxes followed up a 2-1 league win over Crystal Palace by beating PSV Eindhoven by the same score-line to book their spot in the final four of the Europa Conference League.

Newcastle team news

Newcastle will remain without Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson for this one, while Ryan Fraser will join them on the sidelines having sustained a hamstring injury last time out.

Elsewhere, Jamal Lewis, Isaac Hayden and Ciaran Clarke are still out of contention while Joe Willock and Federico Fernandez continue their journeys back to fitness.

Leicester team news

Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana both played the full 90 against PSV Eindhoven on Thursday night but could be afforded rests for this one after returning from lengthy absences. That potentially opens the door to Caglar Soyuncu and Daniel Amartey to start at the heart of defence.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers will certainly be without Wilfred Ndidi, Ryan Bertrand, Jamie Vardy and Danny Ward, while Boubakary Soumare is a doubt.

Newcastle vs Leicester score prediction

It's important for both sides to build on recent wins and gather momentum before heading into the final stretch of the campaign.

While Leicester have European glory (sort of) to think about, a strong end to this season will inevitably provide a solid foundation from which to head into the next.

While both teams have key players missing, however, you'd have to say that the hosts' injury list is a bit more damning than their visitors'. A win last time out will have given Newcastle's morale an important boost but, coming into this one with a healthier squad and stronger form, you'd expect Leicester to come away with three points in the end.

Prediction: Newcastle 1-2 Leicester
