The 25-year-old has been training with the Foxes alongside two other trialists - Greek midfielder Elias Kyriakidis and Cameroonian 'keeper Joslan Mayeloi.
All three impressed in a friendly match against Notts County yesterday but it was Omotoyossie who caught the eye as he partnered Matty Fryatt in attack and found the net after just 15 minutes of the tie as the Foxes went on to record a comfortable 5-1 win to the delight of watching Sven Goran-Eriksson.
The Benin International's most notable spell to date was with Swedish outfit Helsingborgs IF - where he played alongside Henrik Larsson during the 2007-8 season, scoring 14 goals in 23 appearances.
The striker, relased by French side FC Metz in the summer, said: 'Leicester is a good club with good players and I wanted to do well during my trial. I am hoping to be here for two weeks.'
Omotoyossi is just one of several trialists to appear at the Belvoir Drive training ground since Eriksson's arrival but, with the current squad producing such impressive results, it is difficult to make a case for the City boss making anymore signings right now.
