Pearson Confirms Davids Interest

Davids, now 36-years-old, has been available on a free transfer for over a year after his contract at Ajax expired in the summer of 2008 and both Pearson and Mandaric have shown a strong interest in securing the veteran's signature.

Talking to the BBC after last night's 2-0 home win against Crystal Palace, Pearson said: 'There's been interest in both directions but whether it comes to anything is another story.

'When players become available if they are the right players for us then we investigate it.

'There's been interest but after that I'm not in a position to comment further. There's nothing to elaborate on at the moment.' The Foxes boss added.

Davids has enjoyed a world class career, playing for a host of top European clubs including Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona as well as joining Tottenham in 2005. He has represented Holland 76 times.
