Striker Lita, who was released by Reading at the end of last season, has been heavily linked with a move to the Walkers Stadium, and Foxes-Mad understand that Pearson has offered a contract to the former England Under-21.
However, a handful of national tabloids claim Lita has become the subject of great interest from City's Championship rivals including Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and West Brom as well as Premiership new boys Burnley.
Referring to the speculation, Pearson told BBC Radio Leicester: 'We will see what happens. I know there's a lot of speculation about him (Lita) but I wouldn't like to make any comment at the moment.
'If we can improve we will but at the moment I can't really elaborate on that.
'I won't bring players in for the sake of bringing players in.'
Meanwhile, Leicester City have finally agreed a fee with Lincoln City for flare player Dany N'Guessan, who scored the only goal in the Foxes 1-0 away win at Chesterfield last night. The fee has yet to be released, however.
