Piper to Sunderland

Ade Akinbiyi, Gary Rowett, Robbie Savage, Lee Marshall and Matt Piper has all been off loaded after the relegation to Nationwide football. Tim Flowers has been loaned out to Manchester City and also Dennis Wise is no longer on the Leicester City payroll. Micky Adams team suffered heavilly against Ipswich after five regulars all experienced injury problems during the game. Izzet, Taggart and Summerbee all limped off before the 1st half was over, while Scowcroft and Rogers continued to play but shouldn't if they had been allowed to go off. Piper is brought up in Leicester and at the age of 20 it is a big move for the young player with only 16 full team appearances behind him. Matt also had injury problems during pre-season so his preperations for the 02/03 campaign hasn't been the best.
