Kevin Pressman has signed for Leicester City. The Sheffield Wednesday stopper has made in excess of 400 appearances for the club, and has been there since 1987. Micky Adams has clearly gone for a keeper of experience, who could help to bring on younger players such as Conrad Logan. Pressman has been a good servant to Sheffield Wednesday, and is a keeper of good ability. He is disappointed to have been released by his old club, telling the Sun that he "didn't want to leave," and that he'd "carry on as number 2." The approach from Leicester came out of the blue, and was a welcome surprise for him. Pressman does also suffer the ignominy of receiving the fastest ever red card in English football, for deliberately handling outside his box on the first game of the 2000/1 season against Wolves. | ||||||
