Transfer speculation has been rife since the Portuguese coach took charge at the Walkers Stadium last week.
Yesterday, former Barnsley attacking midfielder and Argentine youth product Hugo Colace was linked with a move to Leicester. The player recently failed to agree terms at Oakwell and would be available on a free transfer.
Other players supposedly on Sousa's radar include young Porto winger Andre Castro.
Meanwhile, the prospect of QPR's Akos Buzsacky joining the Foxes has had Foxes fans licking their lips in anticipation at what could prove to be the best Championship signing of the summer.
Hungarian international Buzsacky was part of the QPR side that Sousa took charge of during his 26 game spell at Loftus Road and, last season the midfielder scored an impressive 11 goals from 34 starts for Rangers. Speculation suggests that Buzsacky's contract at Loftus Road expired in June, however the player is believed to be training with the club.
Talking about any possible transfers, Sousa said: 'I believe in quality, not quantity. We need to have better quality in some positions and have competition in the squad. I am still assessing the squad but I will make additions.'
The Foxes are currently training in Slovenia ahead of their Championship opener away at Crystal Palace in early August.
Yesterday reports suggested that Bulgarian Centre Back Aleksander Tunchev needs yet another operation in a bid to rescue his playing career. The 28-year-old has been plagued with an injury to his right knee since an incident at Sellhurst Park in January 2009.
