Manager Paulo Sousa insists he has made the right decision to keep Leicester on the south coast following the Carling Cup victory at Portsmouth.
The Foxes face Pompey again in the Championship on Friday night and the City boss believes a stay over will aid to their preparations.
"The main reason we will stay there is to help us recover between the games and be more prepared for the second game," said Sousa.
"For us to return after a night game we would not arrive until very late and then straight away on Thursday make another trip.
"I think we have made the right decision to stay down there, to give the players the possibility to recover properly and be ready for the next game." He added.
