New Leicester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson believes their 2-0 win over Thailand's national side has boosted his squad's confidence. The Foxes, who are third from bottom in the Championship having won just two matches, flew to Thailand on Wednesday ahead of Saturday's game in Bangkok.
Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "It's good for the players' spirit that they won.
"The confidence is going up and up, so let's hope we can carry on like this."
The former England manager added: "It was a friendly game and there will be more difficult games in the future but anyway it's a win beating a national team, which is very good."
Midfielder Danny N'Guessan was taken off during the friendly with an ankle injury.
The Foxes face ex-boss Nigel Pearson's new side Hull at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday.
"It's a big game," Erikson commented. "It will be a fight and we've still got a marathon to do with 36 games but that's life."
