City takes on Celtic in a pre-season friendly (7.45) and boss Craig Levein looks set to give fans their first chance to see Nils-Eric Johansson, Patrik Gerrbrand and Momo Sylla in action.

Keeper Rab Douglas is likely to miss the chance to face his former team because he has a foot injury and Patrick Kisnorbo has picked up a knee strain that makes him doubtful.

Teenage striker James Wesolowski is also likely to play some part. The 17 year-old Australian featured in the recent two-game tour of Norway that ended with a crushing 5-1 defeat at Lillestrom.

City fans will also welcome back returning hero Neil Lennon.

Lennon was the first signing made by former boss Martin O’Neill and went on to be a key figure in the side that secured four top-10 finishes in the Premiership and lifted the League Cup twice.

All this after giving away a penalty on his debut at Reading !

City boss Levein says the result of the game “will not tell us an awful lot” and added: “The important thing for us is to get another 90 minutes into us and for one or two of the new lads who are new at the club to get a taste of playing at the stadium.”
