Former England international Darius Vassell made his return to English football when he became Sven Goran-Eriksson's first permanent signing for Leicester after a fairly unsuccessful spell with Turkish side Ankaragucu.
The 30-year-old forward made his debut on Saturday helping the Foxes to a 2-0 win against Barnsley at Oakwell and the striker couldn't be happier about his return to full fitness.
He told the club's official website: 'It was great to back on the pitch. It had been a long time, and to see the lads all buzzing showed how much I had missed it all.
'It was nice to be part of that again. If I can maintain that and hopefully put some balls in the back of the net to gain a place, that would be nice.'
