The Foxes have failed to kick-start their season so far following defeats by Luton Town, last Saturday, and Burnley on Tuesday night, but Kelly hopes the Foxes can put things right when they take on Ipswich Town, this afternoon at the Walkers Stadium (kick-off 3pm).
"We obviously have to do better - that is something we are well aware of. But rather than just hope that happens we are doing something about it", Kelly said.
A win against the Tractor Boys would be great for the Foxes following such a disappointing start but Ipswich themselves have not had a great start either. They have also failed to register a point so far this season.
"They have started the season in a similar fashion to ourselves, but that doesn't concern us. We will be concentrating on doing better ourselves - that's all you can do", Kelly added.
Kelly is confidant that his side can do better and insists that his team are not lacking from confidence.
"The players do not lack confidence - they simply feel disappointed at the moment".
We will have to see if the Foxes can put on a better, positive performance this afternoon, which is needed to lift City off the bottom of the table and put 3 points to their name.
