James Wesolowski made a return to action Monday night, as the Foxes drew 3-3 with Lincoln City in a dramatic pre-season friendly at Sincil Bank.

The 18-year old Australian midfielder, made a welcome return to the side, after being sidelined for 10 days after an injury he picked up in a pre-season friendly with Boston United earlier this month.

The young midfielder, who struggled with injuries last season, and didn't make many appearances for the Foxes after breaking his leg, made a return to action against Boston, only to be forced off the field after only half an hour of play because of a thigh problem.

Now he has returned for a second time, and featured in Monday nights friendly against the Imps, where he played half an hour of action. All City fans now hope he stays away from the treatment table for as long as possible.

City boss Rob Kelly said: “My plan was always to play James for half an hour on the night to give him a little run out. He came through it without any problems so that is a plus for us”.

The return of Wesolowski gives Kelly more things to think about, selection wise, ahead of the Championship opener at Luton Town on August 5th and revealed that he has not quite made his mind up yet about his starting eleven.

“At the moment I am still looking at different combinations and different pairings. This team is not settled. I have got a fair idea of what my starting 11 will be, but there are one or two places still up for grabs”, Kelly explained.

Last night, City drew 3-3 with Lincoln City, after being three goals down, the Foxes battled there way back to gain a well-earned draw. The game looked all but over at half time after The Imps had took a 3-0 lead. But City clawed there way back into the game in the second half with Chris O'Grady and Elvis Hammond getting on the score sheet. The Foxes completed a remarkable comeback when Lincoln defender Phil Watts headed the ball into his own net. City were unlucky not to win the match after a couple of late chances, but it wasn't to be and the game ended at 3-3.

The Foxes now extend there pre-season un-beaten run to 4 games and look to extend that further when La Liga opposition, Real Sociedad, come to the Walkers Stadium on Friday evening.
