The 33 year old player has been at Elland Road since 1999, when he signed from Blackburn Rovers for £3 million. He joins other new midfielders, Jason McAteer, Danny Tiatto and Gareth Williams.
Williams started training with the Foxes this morning, despite a fee not yet being agreed with Nottingham Forest. As he is under 24, a fee must be paid. Paul Mace, Leicester's chief operating officer said "We made a revised offer to Forest which we believe is very fair and we feel it's incumbent on both parties to try to reach agreement on a fee for Gareth without going to a transfer tribunal."
What Leicester need now is some strengthening at the back and up front. There is also some concern at the amount of players with 'experience' entering the club. Are we destined to be the oldest team in the league again? If you have an opinion - please join in the messageboard.
