Leicester 0-0 Sunderland: Match Report - view commentary, squad, and statistics of the game as it happened.Leicester draw a blank againLeicester's goalless streak continued after they held Sunderland to a 0-0 draw at the King Power Stadium.The Foxes extended their goal drought to 500 minutes - and have now not netted in their last five games.A tight match had few clear chances but Kasper Schmeichel produced two fine first-half saves to thwart Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson while Costel Pantilimon saved well from Matty James.Riyad Mahrez went close for the hosts but they have now failed to score since drawing with Burnley last month.The point did lift the Foxes out of the relegation zone, though, while Sunderland remained 14th.Paul Konchesky and Mahrez returned for Leicester, replacing Danny Drinkwater and Andy King.Jeff Schlupp moved to left wing to accommodate Konchesky with the Foxes desperate to create chances for five-goal top scorer Leonardo Ulloa.Lee Cattermole came in for Liam Bridcutt after suspension for the Black Cats, who were immediately on the defensive.Wes Brown let Anthony Reveillere's pass under his foot to allow Jamie Vardy to run through but Pantilimon quickly forced the striker wide.It was a warning for the visitors and Pantilimon comfortably gathered Mahrez's effort and Schlupp fired into the side netting on 13 minutes after Mahrez's perfect pass.But the Black Cats almost stole the lead on 23 minutes when Johnson's cute flick put Fletcher through - only for Schmeichel to block superbly.The keeper then turned Johnson's low effort wide following Seb Larsson's quick free kick.While Leicester had started brightly their lack of cutting edge was evident, although Mahrez's cross dropped inches wide with Pantilimon struggling.And the Foxes had to rely on Wes Morgan to keep them level when he threw himself in front of Larsson's rasping drive 10 minutes before the break.Fletcher skied over immediately following the re-start as Sunderland underlined their greater goal threat.Pantilimon, though, had to deny James five minutes into the second half when he beat away his 12-yard drive.It was still a rare opening for the hosts - one which boss Nigel Pearson had implored them to take before the game.The lively Mahrez was the hosts' best outlet and he wanted a penalty when he went down under Reveillere's clumsy challenge, but his protests were rejected.James tested Pantilimon from 20-yards as the Foxes goal struggles continued before Schmeichel saved from Fletcher at his near post with 22 minutes left.Mahrez hit the side netting but any chances dried up as Leicester's goal hunt goes on
